Style of Worship
We would love you to come and join us as we worship God together and see how Christian faith makes a difference in everyday life. We offer a broad range of services, from modern and informal worship to the beauty of the Anglican tradition. You should be able to find a time and place with us where you can feel at home.
Pattern of Services
We have a regular pattern of services which is described below.
Note: The pattern does change when there are special services and during the major Christian festivals. Please do check the services calendar for details.
11:00am Morning Praise at Ruyton Church
A thoughtful and prayerful service which often uses the words from service booklets from the Ionian community. A mixture of traditional hymns and modern worship songs. The service is not normally led by our priest-in-charge but instead by one of our Ministry Team. There will always be Bible readings, a sermon, and refreshments after the service.
6:30pm Sung Evensong at Great Ness Church
A traditional service, where music and the beautiful language of the Book of Common Prayer point us towards God. It’s a sung service with responses, psalms, hymns and an anthem, led by the choir. There’s time for quiet reflection too
10:30am Holy Communion at Great Ness Church
6:30pm Informal Prayer and Worship
A relaxed, welcoming and informal service which mixes the modern and traditional. It’s an opportunity to reflect, pray and connect with God and see how Christian faith really does make a difference to everyday life. Ideal if you’re new to church or don’t like formality.

10:30am Holy Communion at Ruyton Church
4:30pm C-SAW at Victoria Room, Ruyton
C-SAW = ‘Cake and Sunday Afternoon Worship’ – it is an informal service for families and those who like modern worship, with a sit-down tea to finish.
10:30am Holy Communion at Little Ness
10:30am Holy Communion at one of our three churches – see the calendar of services for details.
Travelling Church
Many of our congregation travel to the church where the worship is taking place, regardless of their ‘home church’. As someone put it “there may be three buildings but it feels like one church”.
You would be most welcome to join us at any of our services where you will receive a warm welcome.
Come and join us for modern worship songs, a short bible video and prayer.
Anyone is welcome to these times of worship. Please contact revlucinda@blaze.org.uk or ring 01939 261234 for further information or if you want to join us.
